Hello there, and welcome to Bryant Barn Handcrafted.
I’m Allison Bryant, the artist behind our products. I live in Idaho with my husband and three sons, all under the age of four.
Which, needless to say, makes being an artist an interesting dynamic. But it’s 100% worth it.
If you were to sit down with me, you’d soon realize I actually can talk quite a bit (despite being an introvert), I need coffee to survive, I love being a wife and mother, and I thrive in the time-consuming detail of fine art. I have been dragging a pencil across paper - and other things (sorry, mom) - since I was as young as my own kids, and although I never went to art school, I’ve managed to learn the ins-and-outs of several genres over the years. Through trial and error, of course. But practice does make perfect.
Just kidding.
Although I dabble, my favorite type of art is realism. You may have noticed, if you’ve perused our collections at all. On this blog, I’ll be bringing you along on my newest projects, some of my older works, and how I’ve taught myself the techniques I know. Watch for my time lapse art videos and other updates. The goal would be to release a new print each month, but due to the previously-mentioned three sons and a husband, I can’t promise any specific frequency.
Consider it a surprise. But don’t worry, I’ll post as often as I can.
